Resources

Here is some info before you arrive for your first class.

What to Expect

  • A coach led workout with a consistent foundation of warmup, dynamic exercises, core work and stretches.

  • Your workout designed for your individual pace.

  • A consistent program/schedule (Monday-Tempo/Pacing Day Wednesday-Speed Day,)

  • Connection with fellow runners and walkers (this helps all of us to show up)

  • Working out through all kinds of weather unless too risky for our well-being (I will email if/when a force of nature results in a cancellation)

What to Wear

  • Dress for the weather. By that I mean dress in layers. It’s the northwest, so we’re rarely too hot.  It’s easier to shed layers to cool down than to add layers to warm up. With that in mind, winter gear in the heat of summer might be a wee bit too much.

  • Good athletic walking or running shoes.

What to Bring

  • Yourself!  Showing up is the first step in making a difference in your fitness. Remember consistency makes so much possible.

  • A water-bottle (this may reside in your car, but a good idea to have even post workout)

  • Your own mat for core work.  A yoga style mat is what I’m referring to.  I’ll have a couple extra that I’ll be able to loan and keep clean, but not enough for the group.

  • Please download the three (3) forms below, fill them out, and bring them with you on the first class. If you don’t have a printer, no worries! I will have some forms available when you arrive.

See You at Barkley Pond On Mondays and Civic Stadium on Wednesdays!
